PROSE STAFF

zaum xs 2022

Georgia Mora

a SSU student graduating with a BA in Economics in Spring 2022. She wishes to obtain a career in data analytics. Outside of academics, she is a practicing clown for casual events and enjoys crafting balloon animals while at it. She also enjoys photography and yearns to live on the beach in the future so that she can capture its beauty each day.

Gina Silvas

currently finishing up her junior year at Sonoma State and hopes to graduate early at the end of next fall with a degree in communication studies. Her hobbies include going to the gym and binge watching The Bachelor with her roommates.

Haley Melancon

a senior graduating spring 2022 with a BA in English with a concentration in literature. She is a part of the prose group and also contributed to the fall 2021 edition of ZAUM. She discovered her love of editing by reading the essays of her friends and helping them with their writing. Outside of school, she works with dogs and does most of her reading laying in the sun eating cookies.

Harmony Dreven

a transfer student majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. She attended Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California where she worked as a staff writer and editor on the award winning student newspaper The Tamalpais News. She has an Associates in Arts degree in Liberal Studies from The College of Marin and numerous credits from time spent studying Journalism and Mass Communications at universities in three states before she landed at Sonoma State University. Harmony began her quest to earn her B.A. degree ten years ago; after a number of false starts and setbacks, she is finally set to earn her B.A. in English (with a concentration in Creative Writing) in Spring 2022. In what little spare time she has, Harmony enjoys reading, going to the beach, and watching her favorite TV shows.

Jordan Jolliff

currently a senior at Sonoma State university, set to graduate in Spring 2022 with a Bachelor of arts degree in english, specialized in creative writing. He previously attended Santa Rosa Junior College where he got an Associates of Arts degree in English. He plans to try and find a job in technical writing after he graduates in order to pay the bills while he writes as many stories as he can in his free time. Otherwise when he's  not writing more than is probably healthy he can be found going on runs, at the library trying to find a new book to read and potentially get inspiration from, or at home watching cute videos of dogs.

Nellely Azpeitia

a proud Latina in her third year at Sonoma State University. She’s graduating in May 2022, earning her English B.A. with a concentration in Creative Writing. She was born in Hidalgo, Mexico and raised in California, she will now pursue her writing career in Chicago. Nellely won 1st place in Design & Layout and Review for Journalism, awarded by the Press Democrat in 2019. Her aspirations include publishing her first novel, studying abroad and meeting Bad Bunny (not in that order).

Nick Pacino

a fourth year student majoring in English Literature while minoring in Business Administration and procrastination. His previous works include hanging out with friends and sending grumpy tweets about his favorite sports teams. He is currently itching to graduate and hoping he can get paid for sending the grumpy tweets by furthering his career in the media world. He is also an avid political supporter of petting as many cute dogs as he sees.

Sabrina Heiden

a senior at SSU and is majoring in English Literature. She hopes to be either a high school or community college English teacher someday. Her hobbies consist of reading other classmates’ writing, making rice-a-roni, drinking lots of soda, and watching the same three TV shows over and over again.
